Without further ado, behold, our new appearance.
The history of luxury, and our inspiration
The famous quote by Antoine-Laurent de Lavoisier, “In Nature, nothing is created, nothing is lost, everything is transformed” is the perfect example to define luxury. Over the centuries, its meaning has undergone several changes taking into account the evolution of society and its evolving needs.

Its representation was also changing. From the Italian Renaissance to the French Cortes, where Luxury passes to the Aristocratic and Bourgeois city, cultured and elitist, until the beginning of the 19th century, where, with the influence of art, Luxury assumes a simple and authentic elegance that, until then, was not within everyone's reach.

If until now Luxury was appreciated and consumed for personal pleasure, by a more educated class where the art of the craftsman, the quality of the raw material, the authenticity, and uniqueness characterized the product or service, Luxury was consumed more for social affirmation. Although this new reality is present in today's society, Luxury has new niche consumers who value sustainability, genuineness, the differentiation factor, and have more focus on social responsibility. Today luxury is increasingly an exclusive and authentic experience adapting to the virtual world and current needs.
The Inspiration behind the logo design
It is a mixture of all history. Influenced by the eccentricity, elegance, and simplicity of Luxury, able to adapt to any language, audience, platform, and service.
It is a classic identity, with modern, timeless touches, and where Portugal is present. The national symbols, and the seal of the guarantee, authenticity, and exclusivity of the experiences made by us, Luxury Tours Portugal. The coin with the Queen Consort, D. Isabel of Portugal, was the inspiration for the icon of the logo, being a mirror of the role of women in the modern society, here, personified by the elegance implicit in the whole project by our founder and CEO.
Isabel of Portugal (Lisbon, October 24, 1503 - Toledo, May 1, 1539) was the wife of Charles V & I and Queen Consort of Spain from 1526 until her death, and also Empress Consort of the Holy Roman-Germanic Empire from 1530. She was the daughter of King Manuel I of Portugal and his wife Maria of Aragon and Castile. Intelligent and cultured, raised in the splendor of the richest European court of her time, in Lisbon, like her grandmother Isabel the Catholic, She had a fair complexion, blond hair and clear eyes, Isabel of Portugal was known as “the most beautiful woman of her time”.
D. Isabel de Portugal coin, inspiration for the logo (The obverse side of the coin depicts elements from the Holy Roman Empire and the reverse side depicts the figure of Elizabeth, inspired by a portrait painted by Titian.)
Thus, in addition to the Cross of Avis, cantoned by florets, symbol of nobility and aristocracy, which integrated the national flag in the 16th century, and used as decoration in majestic ceilings of national palaces, and crowns of kings and queens decorated with precious stones, the imposing image of D. Isabel, based on the portrait of the same, made by the Renaissance painter Titian Vecellio.
A flower is a decorative ornament, made of gold or precious stones, which is situated on the rim of a crown, giving the flower its feature. It is a term that can be used in botany, architecture, or heraldry.
