Alentejo: a Luxury Tour Experience
13.03.2020
Alentejo really is a study-case region when it comes to tourism. Although is still untouristed and tranquil, there isn’t a single soul that visits and remains untouched by its wonders.
Alentejo is a little bit sumptuousness and at the same time will leave a mark on you.
This region is unique, authentic, and a little rustic. It is an endless golden flat steppe with warm temperatures and has a relaxed feeling of its own. With a low population density and loads of sun-kissed plains, being at the Alentejo region is like living for a brief period on that iconic Microsoft Windows 98 wallpaper - an ethereal landscape that you don’t think the real world has to show you.
Synonymous of tranquility and grandeur, everything is different there: the sun is brighter, the plains are longer and the wine is outstanding and unique. The temperature's amplitude and the granite-rich soil combine for a wine whose acidity is just on point, for the wine lovers, so it's no surprise that a multitude of wines from this region are being awarded nowadays.
Afterward, don't be fooled by Alentejo's apparent rawness, though. The luxury segment is the region's privileged and its wineries and restaurants are high-end and glamourous, and perfect for a luxury tour.
Alentejo's picturesque hilltop white villages host many pleasures as well, water reservoirs, horse riding activities, vineyards, and olive trees everywhere. It is as if Tuscany and Ancient Greece decided to form a new location in the south of Portugal.
Everyone has a different aspect of Alentejo to fall in love with. Here at Luxury Tours Portugal we have a thing for Alentejo's sunsets. When the sun lays down on the back of the steppe and shows an unmatched vision of purple and orange shades, it's a mesmerizing view.
Once you discover it, it will made the whole travel worth it.
